The article focuses on patient safety in facing digital symptom checkers. Topics being presented include issues on misdiagnosis by physicians which occurs in approximately 5% of outpatients as well as the use of computerised diagnostic decision support (CDDS) programmes and artificial intelligence and wider availability of clinical data and health technology company Babylon's Babylon Diagnostic and Triage System.
