The article discusses research which investigated effectiveness of traditional Thai self-massage in relieving upper back pain, conducted by Phanida Wamontree and colleagues, published in the November 2015 issue of the "Journal of Physical Therapy Science." Topics explored include the use of a Wilai massage stick™ in administering this self-massage, the stretching exercise performed by study participants, and the ibuprofen dosage administered to the medication group in this study.
