  The article discusses emotional impact of violent mass casualty incidents on hospital staff and patients. Topics explored include the counseling sessions offered to Orlando Health hospital staff following the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting incident in Orlando, Florida, the trauma brought by these incidents to health care team members, and the role of hospital leaders particularly in the emotional healing of staff and patients.
