Dr. Hsieh served at Bowld Music Library from 1994 to 2018, when she retired. She returned as a part-time music librarian in 2021. She received the Master of Music and Master of Library Science degrees from the University of South Carolina, and a Ph.D. in Musicology from Louisiana State University. She has written books and articles, as well as translated several church music books into Chinese.
